CONTORTA CIRCLES

Inspired by the Italian word for twisted, these sculptures are made from hand-selected hardwood and delicately bent to achieve twisted offsets at the points where their ends meet.

Materials used

Each Contorta is made from a variety of beautiful hardwoods such as ash, oak, walnut, cherry, poplar and various species of mahoganies.

Connecting its base is either a polished solid brass or solid steel rod or a selected hardwood dowel. 

The base of each contorta circle is either natural stone or contrasting hardwood.
